646 AUDITORY FREQUENCY SCALING

This program permits the computer to present auditory stimuli that can be scaled for pitch using Category Scaling and Magnitude Estimation. Many parameters may be varied, and the user can plot the results using transforms: 1) linear 2) common log 3) natural log 4) exponential for either or both the X or Y axis. Comparisons can be conveniently performed to test theoretical predictions such as those of Fechner or Stevens. Plots show data points, lines of best fit, or both.
